Activities

    Skills Training for Youth with Disabilities

    Goal

    Empower youth with disabilities with vocational skills for self-reliance.

    Activities

  • Deliver 12-week training in tailoring, ICT, carpentry, and hairdressing.
  • Provide starter kits for graduates (sewing machines, computers, tools).
  • Link trainees to local markets and mentorship programs.
  • Expected Outcomes

  • 100 youth trained each year.
  • 70% of trainees starting income-generating activities.
  • Improved livelihoods and independence for youth with disabilities.

    Disability Rights Community Forum

    Goal

    Promote awareness and advocacy for the rights of persons with disabilities.

  • Organize quarterly forums with chiefs, assembly members, and community leaders.
  • Conduct disability rights workshops in schools and communities.
  • Broadcast radio programs to reduce stigma and discrimination.

  • 10 community forums held per year.

    Assistive Devices Distribution Program

    Goal

    Increase mobility and independence for persons with disabilities.

  • Train beneficiaries and caregivers in proper use and maintenance.
  • Expected Outcomes

  • 200+ assistive devices distributed annually.
  • Increased independence and participation of persons with disabilities.
