Goal

Promote early detection and treatment of health conditions among persons with disabilities.

Activities

  • Conduct mobile health clinics in rural communities.
  • Provide free eye, ear, and general health screening.
  • Refer children and adults for advanced treatment when necessary.

  • 500+ community members screened annually.
  • Early detection of treatable conditions in at least 100 children.

    Skills Training for Youth with Disabilities

    Goal

    Empower youth with disabilities with vocational skills for self-reliance.

    Activities

  • Deliver 12-week training in tailoring, ICT, carpentry, and hairdressing.
  • Provide starter kits for graduates (sewing machines, computers, tools).
  • Link trainees to local markets and mentorship programs.

  • 100 youth trained each year.
  • 70% of trainees starting income-generating activities.
  • Improved livelihoods and independence for youth with disabilities.

    Disability Rights Community Forum

    Goal

    Promote awareness and advocacy for the rights of persons with disabilities.

    Activities

  • Organize quarterly forums with chiefs, assembly members, and community leaders.
  • Conduct disability rights workshops in schools and communities.
  • Broadcast radio programs to reduce stigma and discrimination.

  • 10 community forums held per year.
  • 500+ leaders and community members sensitized.
  • Improved inclusion of persons with disabilities in local decision-making.

    Assistive Devices Distribution Program

    Goal

    Increase mobility and independence for persons with disabilities.

    Activities

  • Partner with international organizations to source assistive devices.
  • Distribute wheelchairs, crutches, hearing aids, and white canes..
  • Train beneficiaries and caregivers in proper use and maintenance.

  • 200+ assistive devices distributed annually.
  • Increased independence and participation of persons with disabilities.
  • Improved quality of life for beneficiaries and their families.
